My journey started in 2017 when I felt I was at a breaking point in my human PT career. At this point, I had been practicing in the outpatient orthopedic setting for more than 13 years. I reached a point where I no longer felt satisfied in what I was doing and was on autopilot.

Throughout my certification process I had just assumed I would work at one of the local veterinary clinics as this is what many PTs do after becoming certified. The thought of starting my own business was not even a blip on my radar despite my husband’s suggestion of, “Sommer, you may have to go out on your own”. I heard the words but did not take them seriously…until I had to.
